In weighing some old hammered unclipt money, I found the crowns of King Edwd about 10 {illeg}or 11 gr too light, the 12 crowns of K Iames & K. Charles I too light by 4 pr cent the hoarded shillings of Q. Eliz K Edward {illeg}by 714 pr cent, the shillings of Q. Eliz by {illeg}10 pr cent, those of K Iames by 5110 pr cent, those of K. Char. I by 412 pr cent. Half crowns of K. Char I by 4 pr cent. Whence these shillings weare 1 pr cent in about 15 years & half crowns 1 per cent in 19 or 20 years. And by consequence milled shillings weare 1 pr cent in about 24 years
