Our will & pleasure is {illeg}& We do hereby authorise & command you Charles Earlde of Louderdale {sic} General of our Mint in North BritainScotland, {illeg} out of such moneys as pursuant to an Act of Parliament made in the first year of our reign & entituled An Act to continue Duties for encouraging the coinage of money & shall be issued unto you out of or Excheqr by the Lord High Treasurer {illeg}or any three or more of the Commissioners of our Treasury for ye time being by way of imprest & upon account for the use & service of our said Mint, to pay pay out also the charges of coinage & inciden{illeg}ts charges thereof to whom they shall become due due {sic} & also to {illeg}pay unto the Officers of our said Mint their salaries quarte from time to time as they shall become due to them by their Patents & according to a schedule be annexed unto the Indenture made between her late Maty Queen Andn on the one part & Iohn Montgomerie Es then Mr & {illeg}Worker of her Mats Mint on the other part: and also to pay all reasonable bills orf charges for repairing duly exainned {sic} for keeping the Offices in the said & keeping & coining tools in {illeg} repair the dwelling houses {illeg}of the Officers within the said Mint wind & water tite., & the coining tools in repair And we do hereby {illeg} charge & command you & all the Officers of or said Mint in the several stations to observe the Rules set down in the & directions set down in the said Indenture, with respect to their several stations until as new Indenture shall be made excepting only such alterations as have been made by Act of Parliament & to take care that the moneys be well & duly coined accor{illeg}ding to the said Rules
