{illeg} Hazzards or losses at Sea & in returns of money are uncertain The merchants do not ensure. In times of peace the hazzards are less. If this Article be recconed at about 1 per cent the w or 9 stivers per Cwt 100 wt the whole Account will amount to about 44 G 16 or 17 st.
WhichThis Summ by , I recconning 10 Gilders 12 st to 20s & 110 pounds I.AverdupoisII. to the Dutch 100 wt, comes1 G 11 st comes to 2s 101 pr C Ac English. And this added to 4. 1 makes the whole charge (in ready money) of exporting & housing Tinn 4.£ 3.s 11d per C English wt or 4. 3. 0 per 100 Dutch weight.
Add 1 pr cent prompt p for interes
In selling Add 1 pr cent for prompt payment & 1 per cent for interest of two months forbearance or insurance of paymts And the selling price will be 4£ 4s 8d pr 100 Dutch weight, or 44Gilders 17 stivers
In this recconnig I consider not the charges of Brokerage Warehouse room & the Town weigh-house & Commission in Holland because that would be tdoubling the charge to them that buy to sell again & imposing a superfluous charge upon them yt can buy at £ for their own use. People there commousually act for themselve in their own houses shops & warehouses wthout commission com wthout Commisthe charges of commission &or brokerage.
1 per cent for prompt paymt & tw two months forbearance are advantages to ye buyer & ought to be paid for. Add therefore 1 per cent for prompt paymt & 1 per cent interest for two months forbearance & or insurance of paymts : & the selling price will be 4£ 4s 8d per 100 Dutch wt, or 44 Gilders 17 Styvers.
In this recconning I consider not the charges of Bro Warehouse room, Brokerage, the Town weigh house Duties & Commission in Holland because they bring no advantage to ye buyer., To impose & may be avoyded by him if he sends to London for Tynn.
NB. The Interest of ye money paid in London may be recconned 1d pr wekek pr C till the Tin is housed at Amsterdam. The Pewterers put Tin on board forat 4£ & therefore their Commission actact for a Comission of about 6d, per C Merchants scarce take less then {illeg} 1 pr cent wch comes to 9d.. And tho insurance is scarce to be had for less then 1 pr cent yet Traders had rather ris it then give so much, & therefore value it at less suppos 6d 7d or 8d pr Trade, cent & sometimes they maythose that live in Amsterdam may sometimes save the Duties or get them valued at lower rates.
