Memd the Letter is of the 3d of Novr
1716 from Edinburgh that Doctor Brandshagen
arrived there about a fortnight before the Date, where
Sir John Erskine is also arrived and offers to go
and shew where the mine is immediately. But
the Doctor says he cannot proceed on the tryal
or Iourney for want of Money that Mr
Drummond has advanced to him 16li Sterling
for his immediate Subsistance and that of the
Hamilton's, and sends this Account that it may
be seen how this Affair stands there.
