Bate this day sent me a Letter promising to make a further Discovery whereupon wee sent for him and have enclosed sent you a Copy of his Examination he seems mightily desirous of meriting his life wherefore I have now sent another Copy thereof to mr John Gray who being in the countrey where the persons in that Examination named doe live can best find them out Bates turns very much disatisfyed that no intelligence is yet had of Field and says he must needs be about Oxford and that if due search be made he must be taken I wish this Villany be effectually prosecuted and supprest and am
