Middx & Westmr } Ss The Information of David Williams taken upon Oath this 11.th day of July 1701.
Who saith that one William Montford a Souldier in Colonel Holines's Company of Foot Guards (& a weaver by trade) who lives now on Clerkenwell Street did Sell unto Joan the wife of this Informant Severall Shillings of Counterfeit money resembling the Currant coyn of this Kingdome for halfe the tale in Good Money and further saith that he did hear Monfort Say, that he would procure 5.£ of the Said Counterfeit money for 50.s good money and if she could pay away or put off greater Quantities he would procure it for her, And this <1v> Informant futher saith, That one Thomas Williams a Souldier in Colonel Holines's Company & a Taylour by trade who now lives in Spittle-feilds was the first person who brought this Informant and his wide Joanna first acquainted with the aforesaid Monford the Souldier.
