Middx Westmr } Ss The Examinaion of Philip Lloyd of St Martins in ye feilds Physitian duly Examined this 10.th Feby. 1700.
Saith that he has been in Engld about 2. years next June and came then from Holland and was employ'd under his Ma.ty in ye Army in Peidmount in the last Ware as Physitian. And further saith that in ye month of June last he became acquainted with a German Gentlem upon accont of cureing him of the pox, and haveing ꝑformed the said cure ye said German Gentm gave this Examinant 12. pistoles and at the same time told him yt 5. of ye Sd pistoles were false But yt the Sd ꝑson is now gone from Engld. And the 5. Pistoles as above Sd are the same (amongst other Gold) now taken upon him. He further saith that he knows one Mace and ye man yt Keeps a <1v> Coffee house in George Alley in ye Strand and there he delivered a Pistole to the said Coffee man to have ye same Gilded, he saith further yt one Fitz-Gerald (now in Woodstreet Counter) in London did about 3. weeks Since Gild 2. or 3.
