Middx Westmr } Ss The Examination of Philip Lloyd of St Martins in the feilds Physitian duly Examined this 10.th February 1700.
Saith that he has been in England about 2. years next June and came then from Holland and was employ'd under his Majesty in the Army in Peidmount in the last Ware as Physitian. And further saith that in the month of June last he became acquainted with a German Gentleman upon account of cureing him of the pox, and haveing performed the said cure the said German Gentleman gave this Examinant 12. pistoles and at the same time told him that 5. of the Said pistoles were false But that the Said person is now gone from England. And the 5. Pistoles as above Said are the same (amongst other Gold) now taken upon him. He further saith that he knows one Mace and the man that Keeps a <1v> Coffee house in George Alley in the Strand and there he delivered a Pistole to the said Coffee man to have the same Gilded, he saith further that one Fitz-Gerald (now in Woodstreet Counter) in London did about 3. weeks Since Gild 2. or 3.
