Proposals have been made for Coining one hundred TUnns of Farthings and half pence ꝑ Annum for two Years.
I humbly propose to Coin ye sd Quantity on the following terms (Vizt}
The Farthings and half pence to be made of fine Malleable Copper, with a neat, fair, Impression, to be approved of by such persons, as his Majesty shall appoint.
Each pound of Copper to be cutt into two Shillings; one eight part, when Coined, to be allowed to ye publick, which will amount to two thousand eight hundred pound ꝑ Annum; And amounts in the whole to twenty eight thousand pounds.
I likewise propose to allow ye Officers of His Majesties Mint 2d for Cutting, Stamping, & blanching each pound of Copper, and in case they refuse ye same, I humbly desire the use of the Irish Mint, may be granted me, and I will be obliged to leave ye presses and other Utencills in as good order, as they now are; And if any Objections arise, I humbly desire an Opportunity to answer them:
