Francis Ilseley of Gloverstone in the County of Chester Socksmith and later Engeneer to his Majesties late Mint in the Castle of Chester being Examined upon Oath saith that the great brass Engine or Instrumt Now Produced to him at the time of this Examination haveing a strong Iron Screw at the One End of it, and part of the other End being melted away, is the body or Carcass of a Press for Coyning of Money, and to the best of this Deponents Judgment was made and designed for that use and purpose                                         Francis Ilsley
